Learning Bharatanatyam as an adult
Ambika Ganeshprasad
Some of our students watched Bharatanatyam as children and never got the chance to learn. Some danced for years, stopped for work or family or a move across the world, and assumed the door had closed. It has not.
What changes for adults
The pace changes. The art does not. Adult joints need longer warm-ups and smarter progress, so the adults batch moves differently. But it moves through the same steps, the same dances and the same tradition. There is no watered-down version here.
What adults bring
Attention. Adults understand the music, ask about the stories and practise because they choose to. Flexibility returns faster than most people expect.
If you have carried the words I always wanted to learn for years, those words are the qualification. Call us.
